As retained headhunters it is our role to work on specific search assignments for our clients. We are retained to identify and source key people that match the customers criteria and then engage them in a screening process. This is why we at MSC are unable to accept CV’s through our website because each project is bespoke and we do not use a database of candidates to create shortlists. That method is known as contingency based recruitment and is probably more suited to job seekers as it is more candidate driven. Also a recruiter can make a direct approach to a company and discuss individuals who are available. Some contingency recruiters use this method to generate new business but the candidate needs to be outstanding and of real marketable interest.
